Before we move like Wiley Coyote ‘n’ roll deep down route 66 in search of Road Runner, let’s address a mistake made in the previous entry. At the point of writin’, I only ‘knew’ Kiran from Insta. We’d never met in person. So when we linked up, created some content ‘n’ posted, I mistakenly addressed her as Kira. It’s Kiran. K. I. R. A. N. Kiran. Seein’ as I had a dope shoot ‘longside Kiran the first time, we conversed ‘n’ agreed on a second link up to create more content. So that’s what Kiran and I did. Why have I mentioned her name so many times in one paragraph? It’s to remind myself to do my due diligence ‘n’ not get sh*t wrong. ‘N’ I call myself a student of the game! Clearly wasn’t paying’ attention in class. Anyhow, today, I introduce to you: DemzVisuals: Kiran Part 2.

At the point of this shoot, It was the most fun I’d had. It was relaxed; it was jovial; and the energies were aligned. Yet another Creative I’ve had the pleasure of meetin’ through DA YIC, Mamo’s a cool kid. He’s one of the youngers with their head screwed. Currently studyin’ at uni, he’s also signed to Boss Model management. When I was his age, I’d recently dropped out of uni (my first attempt), ‘n’ came back to the bits on my bullsh*t with my boys instead of tryin’ to make positive moves. I feel a sense of pride when I see the youngers opt for positivity ‘n’ not allow themselves to become ‘stuck in the mud’ – word to Isaiah Rashad. So, it’s with pleasure I can say: today I present to you DemzVisuals: Mamo.

Tuesday 03rd September was an incredibly productive day. I said it before ‘n’ I’ll say it again – what started as an initial meetin’ with Joe to catch up ‘n’ test out the 35 turned into a creative accident. By the time I was headin’ home, I captured enough images to curate around a solid week of content – both as Insta posts ‘n’ blog entries. Though a man of routine, expect the unexpected. ‘N’ when the unexpected should meander its way into your tried ‘n’ tested trodden paths, be ready to go off course. Because of course, these are the moments in which we thrive. Today I present to you: DemzVisuals: Taryle ‘n’ Keenan.

Here he is – Mr Olympus himself. So glad he decided to descend from his godly vantage to mingle with us mere mortals ‘n’ create some dope content. I’m truly honoured. Jokes aside, this is part deux of the ‘Scenes from an Unexpected Trilogy’. An avid shooter himself, in a conversation post shootin’, he confided that he is on the cusp of a photography ‘n’ design degree at uni, ‘n’ he also dabbles in architectural photography. He sees a career in this. ‘N’ why not hey? Follow your heart I say. Many of us have failed in our attempt to make the subconscious a reality due to reasons rangin’ from fear, lack of motivation, or dedication. Follow your heart young man. Today I introduce to you: DemzVisuals: Shedy.

One of the things I truly love about content creation is the spontaneity. You pack your gear ‘n’ leave your house with a pre-destined motive in mind, but along the way, you may deviate from the path. But there’s beauty in deviation. I’m a man who likes a plan. I’m a man of routine. I’m the guy that makes a plan, to make a plan. Monica Gellar/Bing anyone? That bein’ said, I have allowed myself to recognise opportunity in deviation. Yes it’s good to have a set structure, but when life throws somethin’ out the ordinary, have an open mind ‘n’ go with the flow. It could lead to some brilliant connections – ‘n’ dope content! It’s this open mind which has allowed me to curate the next three posts which I have dubbed: ‘Scenes from an Unexpected Trilogy’. But let’s take it step at a time. Today I introduce to you: DemzVisuals: Dom Braund.

I‘ll be the first to say it. Historically, I’ve kinda been the self-titled ‘lone-wolf’ of the family. I won’t bore you or incriminate myself with the details, but it is what it is. Keepin’ it one hunna, for me, the notion of ‘family’ is somethin’ I’ve kinda always taken for granted. Which is strange considerin’ the affinity I have with some of history’s and pop culture’s greatest heroes/anti heroes. Despite their hamartia, they had one thing in common: family. To take for granted an institution which some are not privileged to have is kinda bad. Maybe it’s due to my ‘advancin’ age (I’m still relatively young), my sense of some day perhaps wantin’ my own, or seein’ my youngers growin’ into their own, the ‘lone-wolf’ has realised his own hamartia. To quote the legend George R. R. Martin: “when the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives.” Today I introduce to you: Demz Visuals: Rem ‘n’ Fem.

Bein’ the second shoot of the day, this one was also relaxed for a few reasons. One, havin’ met him last year thru Liam, Remi’s become a familiar face. Hittin’ networkin’ events together in Manchester, Liverpool ‘n’ London, he’s no stranger. So the slight trepidation experienced on Kiran’s shoot was non-existent. Two, this familiarity meant I knew how to shoot him. On cue, he’d hit his own poses / alter as instructed. Three, the light was still on our side. Shootin’ on a mid level Nikon,  I’m startin’ to understand the strengths ‘n’ weaknesses of its capabilities. The better the natural night, the more wiggle-room I have in post. Today I introduce to you Demz Visuals: Remi.
